Last updated 24 June 2026. This explains, in plain English, what we do with your information when you use our website or ask us for a price. No jargon.

Who's looking after your information

This website is run by [C&N LEGAL NAME] ("we", "us"). We decide how your information is used, so in legal terms we're the "data controller". Here's how to reach us about it:

What we collect, and why

1. How you use the site. If you say yes to cookies, we use Google Analytics and Hotjar to see which pages people look at and where they get stuck — so we can make the site better. It's about pages and clicks, not about you personally. We only do this with your permission (the Accept button), and you can take it back any time. Say no and none of it runs.

2. When you ask for a price. Our quote tool lets you send a few photos of your stuff and some details about your move (where it's going, the date, that sort of thing). We use those to work out an honest price and get back to you — in plain terms, to do the thing you've asked us to do. To do that, the photos and details are sent to Kwotly — the company that runs our quoting tool on our behalf.

Who else sees it

We don't sell your information to anyone. We only use a few trusted companies to keep things running:

• Google — website analytics (Google Analytics), only if you've said yes to cookies.
• Hotjar — anonymous heatmaps and session recordings, only if you've said yes to cookies.
• Kwotly — runs our quote tool and handles the photos and move details you send for a price. Kwotly in turn relies on its own trusted suppliers to host the service and store that data (for example its hosting and database providers, and an email provider used to send quotes). Where your information goes

Some of these companies (like Google and Hotjar) are based in the United States, so some of your information may be handled outside the UK. When that happens it's covered by the data-protection safeguards UK law requires — basically a standard contract that holds them to UK-level protection. Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website saves on your device. We keep it simple:

• Essential ones remember your cookie choice, keep the quote tool working, and note which version of a page you saw (so it stays the same if you come back). These are always on — the site can't work without them, and they don't track you.
• Analytics ones (from Google and Hotjar) are only set if you click Accept on the cookie banner. Click Reject and they're never set.

Changing your mind

You can change your cookie choice whenever you like — just click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page and pick again. If you switch to Reject, we stop the analytics and clear those cookies.

How long we keep it

• Analytics: Google and Hotjar hold this for a limited time (up to around 14 months) and then it's deleted.
• Your quote enquiry: we and Kwotly keep your photos and details while we're sorting your quote and for a reasonable time after, then we remove them. [Confirm your retention period.]

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it — and you can tell us to stop using it. Just email [CONTACT EMAIL] and we'll sort it. If you're not happy with how we've handled things, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
